South American Farm Direct Flowers

Did you know… all of our South American flowers are bought farm direct? That means that you’ll never get flowers from us that have been stored in a broker’s refrigerator. Our flowers are cut fresh to order and shipped immediately to us keeping strict cold chain management.

To ensure the highest quality & freshest product, our Mayesh purchasing team travels to our flower farms to check on things in person… in fact, they were just there making sure that your Valentine’s day roses & flowers were not only the freshest products but that they were also ready to arrive for your pre-books on time!

Check out these photos showing the entire process from greenhouse harvest to sorting & grading, packing & pre-cooling, and arrival at our Mayesh Miami distribution hub for PQ inspection!

We take the extra step!

From Field to Float: The Flowers

Rose Parade 2016 Field to Float

I hope everyone survived, I mean, enjoyed a wonderful holiday with friends and family! While the holiday madness may be over, things are really gearing up for us on the Rose Parade end of things. Flowers grown specifically for the Rose Parade have been cultivated, packed and shipped to the United States from Colombia and Ecuador, awaiting their final destination on one of the floats.

First stop: Miami!

After being harvested and packed up in South America, they make their way to Miami, their first stop in the States. Trucks pick them up at the airport and they are transported to our Miami Distribution center.
