2016 Tablescape Contest Voting

Open House Collective Tablescape Contest

Our collaborative flower wall contest last year was a big hit among our customers and employees, so we thought we would take the same collaborative concept but apply it to tablescapes this year! So here after our National Open House, we have below 16 beautiful tablescapes for you to view and vote on.

Each year many of our amazing vendors come through with generous donations that help make this day possible, in particular Naniwa (Japanese flowers), Alexandra Farms (garden roses), Greenrose (Ecuadorian roses), Agronatura (Ecuadorian roses), HOSA (spray roses and dianthus), Agriroses (Ecuadorian roses and garden roses), and XACT (garden roses). So thank you to those of you who donated flowers to all of our locations – we greatly appreciate your support!

Mayesh Orange County Open House Recap

Mayesh Orange County Open House

On November 4th, Mayesh Orange County hosted an open to unveil their new 2,795 square foot cooler. There was amazing food and beverage being served as well as good conversation and industry networking. The new layout of the location looks beautiful and what better way to celebrate than to have our very own Mayesh Design Star, Beth O’Reilly AIFD, come in, decorate and demo designs for the event. There were four vignette style set-ups to demonstrate holiday inspired design.

The first was a fall theme where she showed us how to make the studded pumpkins much like the ones seen on our November Inspired Floral Design video and along with vase arrangements using pomegranate and green wheat.

The second vignette was a how-to on making custom wreaths and how you would go about ordering one from Mayesh.

The third was a short explanation on how she made the beautiful white arrangement that was in our cooler lounge where we were serving drinks and cold appetizers.

And for the last vignette Beth demonstrated a full-on holiday themed wedding event. A sweetheart table dripping with roses, dresses made of Christmas greens, pinecone rosettes, a beautiful cake table and of course a stunning composite bridal bouquet.

If you were able to make it out, we hope you had as good of a time as we did! Thank you to Beth O’Reilly and all of the OC staff for creating such a great night!

Mayesh Riverside Popup Open House Recap

Mayesh Riverside Popup Open House

On October 6th 2015, Mayesh Riverside had an intimate gathering for customers both old and new to meet and mingle with the staff, show off the changes that have been made around the location and to check out the new additions to our now extensive hard goods supply department. It was an amazing turn out and so nice to meet new customers and get to catch up with our loyal Mayesh family. The team at Mayesh Riverside did an outstanding job hosting the event and making it a truly magical night. Thank you to all that could attend, we hope you had as much fun as we did!

Adopted Mayesh Lonely Bouquets 2015

Adopted Mayesh Lonely Bouquets

On June 26th, we hosted our second Mayesh Lonely Bouquet Design Day! Based on the number of photos filtering in all day from our different branches, I’d say it was a success! We had so many florists (and even some of their children and family members!) show up to help design over 400 bouquets and spread the love around town. We had a number of stories and comments come back, and wanted to share the joy that was felt with this year’s Lonely Bouquets.

Carlsbad Open House

Carlsbad Open House

If you hadn’t heard, a couple of weeks ago our Carlsbad location threw a fabulous (and very successful!) Open House. As a fun pre-wedding season theme, our team down in sunny San Diego decided to focus on roses and garden roses, promoting them for the upcoming wedding season. They also used this as a charitable opportunity, with all money raised going to Heliotrope for Hospice, a local non-profit run by Diane Citrowske. Heliotrope is an awesome organization that repurposes event flowers into new arrangements to deliver to local hospice care patients, working with local event designers, wholesalers, and even Trader Joe’s to get these weekly flower donations. Because they have no funding, we love to help raise money for them whenever possible, and this was the perfect occasion to do that! They had forty Miche handbags donated to sell for fundraising, and ended up raising over $500 for Heliotrope! Congrats Team Carlsbad!

The other exciting part of this event was the team of volunteer designers who set up tables and did small presentations throughout the day. On top of starting Heliotrope for Hospice, Diane is also a local designer, educator, and AIFD certified, and helped put together this talented group of designers for us – Maryanne Mertz, Kristen Larson, Adrianne Smith, Annette Gomez, and Sara Eaton. Last but not least, Adelena Whittaker from Fleurology attended the event to share about her recent symposium and give us a taste of upcoming events – very exciting!

The turnout was awesome, customer interaction was bountiful, and the room was constantly abuzz. We’re so proud of our Carlsbad team for putting on such a wonderful and charitable event!

Roses
Our Guest of Honor

Roses are the “Belle” of every ball. Their shapes, colors and enticing fragrances are the tone-setting focal points around which other important decisions revolve. Few flowers can match their allure or desirability. They are an indispensable ally for successful floral design. Our open house will showcase a full array of colors and varieties with suggestions to help make this your Best Year Ever.

Weddings & Events
Building Business Opportunities

Whether sophisticated, intricate or elegantly simple, your design is “experienced” by all attendees. Without words, it says more about your creative expertise than any other marketing effort. In a roomful of people with potential floral needs, all will know a floral designer they can trust and recommend to transform a future gathering into a cherished memory.

Be sure to check out our three guest designers who will be doing some demos and interacting with customers starting at 10am.
