Check flowers very carefully, making sure they are not turning brown and that the flowers are bright. Flowers are displaced on terminal corymbs and are fluffy, almost silver looking. Also available dip-dyed. Stems should be cut and the flowers hydrated in a low sugar holding solution. Any foliage that will fall into the water ought to be removed. These flowers should preferably be processed in a cool room of 45-50 F with low humidity and held at this temperature, as they are sensitive to low temperatures.
