These flowers may be mini but they are just as beautiful and important as their larger counterparts are. Each stem holds 4-6 blooms in various stages. Great for corsage and boutonniere work.
Care and Handling:
Look at petals and feel for compact, ruffled texture of the carnations. They should be crisp and not soft. The blooms should have all petals vertical with maybe one or two starting to reflex. There should be absolutely no evidence of shattering, or the calyx splitting. Colors of carnations should be bright and clear. Leaves and stems should be erect, turgid and dark green. Look out for broken sprays. Stems should be cut cleanly, crisply and placed immediately into water for hydration. It is best to use a low sugar holding solution and preferably processed in the cooler.
