Check that flowers are open or starting to open, as if they are cut too tight they will not open. Examine edges of petals for dehydrated, driedout or even brown margins, as well as checking foliage for the same issues. Check flowers for any mechanical damage, as well as the leaves for yellowing. Remove all foliage that will fall below the water-line. Cut stems and place the flowers in a low sugar holding solution. Hold in coolers.
