Summer flower that resembles lilac somewhat. It has tiny flowers clustered in dense racemes that can often be up to 10 in spread. Check the spikes closely for shattering dropping, or damage from poor handling. Flowers can also burn during very hot weather. This flower is prone to wilting; but once hydrated and stabilized it can have a decent vase life. Therefore check that flowers are turgid and erect upon arrival. Flowers that have been shipped dry need to be hydrated immediately, and it is recommended that Quick Dip is used. Stems should be cut cleanly and crisply and placed immediately into water. Any leaves that will be submerged should be removed. The flowers should be hydrated in a low sugar holding solution.
