This dynamic filler, originally from New South Wales in Australia, has hot pink bell-shaped flowers and delightful citrus fragrance. The foliage is soft and fine, the lower leaves should be removed before placing in water. This flower is from arid micro-climate but successfully grown in California. Unfortunately rainfall prior to harvest will stimulate more plant growth leaving flowers low on the stem and often obscured by the foliage higher up the stem. This phenomenon is known as overgrowth and is very undesirable as the aesthetic result is not attractive or functional. Check the bunches for overgrowth, as well as shattering of flowers, collapsing of flowers due to excessive heat or cold, and the dropping of leaves from stem. Cut stems and place into a low sugar holding solution. Hold in coolers.
