Bleeding Heart Pink

This flower is very sensitive to ethylene. Check with grower to make sure that it is treated with anti-ethylene treatment in post-harvest. Flowers are delicate, with thin, graceful arching stems and foliage that is fine and lacy. Once hydrated it is fairly stable and very attractive. Inspect flowers carefully for signs of damage to stems and flowers checking for signs of dehydration and/or wilting, as well as problems due to poor handling or packing. Remove all lower leaves that may fall in water and cut stems crisply with a sharp knife. Bleeding Heart flowers should be hydrated in a low sugar holding solution and preferably processed in the cooler.
