Very thin strap-like leaves from a plant that is part of the under-story in forests of the Pacific Northwest. Along with Lemon leaf, this product is still harvested from the wild. Bear grass enjoys an environment that is very cold and high humidity. May be held dry in sealed cases, and stored in damp conditions wrapped in plastic or even cling-film. Prior to use, or upon removing from the box stems should be cut and the leaves hydrated in a low sugar holding solution.
