SALES MANAGER

POSITION SUMMARY

Builds strong customer relations, through knowledge and exemplary customer service. Plan and carry out all sales activities on assigned accounts. Responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction; managing the quality of products and services.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Sells products by implementing sales plans; supervising sales staff
  • Plan, organize, direct and control your sales staff to meet objectives
  • Use these to help your salespeople maximize their potential
  • Monthly sales meetings with salespeople setting realistic sales objectives for the month and action plan
  • Establish a sales objective for the department each month
  • Coaching sales staffing offering them the coaching, counseling, advice ,support, motivation or information they need in order to help them meet their sales objectives
  • Making every effort to maximize both present and long-term sales and gross profits
  • Keeping face-to-face contact with your salespeople and you must stay current on financial data and inventory
  • Maintain Inventory Control
  • Review the entire inventory daily
  • Supervise the Sales Floor
  • Make sure your salespeople are doing everything they should be doing to successfully sell you products
  • Ensure sales floor operations run smoothly
  • Develop Sales Forces
  • Recruiting, hiring and training
  • Developing the most successful sales force possible
  • Handle complaints from customer, sales reps
  • Constructively handle (or supervise the handling of) all customer complaints related to your department
  • Review customer logs such as ranking and comparison reports
  • Assist your salespeople in selling by stimulating floor traffic
  • Motivate them to perform well
  • Assist them in the selling process whenever needed

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Knowledge and experience in organizational effectiveness and operations management
  • Knowledge of sales principles and practices
  • Knowledge of human resource principles and practices
  • Floral experience
  • Flexible schedule

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • This position works in a warehouse setting
  • This position involves long periods of standing
  • This position involves long periods of sitting
  • This position involves frequent stooping and bending
  • This position involves frequent pushing and pulling
  • This position works inside a cooler with temperatures ranging between 32 and 45 degrees
  • This position routinely uses warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, heavy equipment
  • This position requires the use of sharp tools such as knives and cutters
  • This position routinely uses standard office equipment
