AIFD2012: A Fresh Look at Christmas (In July)

 Paul Miller AIFD, PFCI

Christmas in July AND in Miami?  You know it’s going to be HOT!!  Paul Miller AIFD, PFCI, who dreams up Christmas designs a year in advanced, presented 4 Christmas designs:  Tropical Holiday, Sugar Plum Fairy, Country Christmas, and White Christmas.
What’s your favorite?

Tropical Holiday

This unique theme is created with heliconia, orchids, birds of paradise, protea, anthurium, and bamboo among other products.

Sugar Plum Fairy

Sweet and sugary is what I think of when I see Paul’s sugar plum fairy design.  Looking close, you will find roses, carnations, with a garden mix of other flowers.  Part of the design that I really enjoyed was the bouquets that were wired into the tree.  Great idea for parties allowing the guest to take a piece of the tree home with them!

This color scheme is near and dear to my heart and is similar to what you’ll find at my house.  I wanted to do something “different” about 2 years ago for my little girl!

Country Christmas

Roses, carnations, hydrangea, green disbuds, evergreens, and berries make up this country scene highlighted with natural elements such as twigs and birds’ nests.

White Christmas

White is very traditional and traditional can be a bit boring (for me), but this white Christmas is anything but!  Filled with gorgeous white phalaenopsis orchids, lilies, branches, callas, hydrangea, disbuds, and, of course, lots of sparkle, Paul really created some dreamy white pieces!
