Congratulations, you’ve made it through the busiest day of the year! While you’re probably all in recovery mode, we thought we’d share a fun tip that was passed along to us by a customer.
Stephanie Prenatt of FH Weddings & Events in Tampa, FL had a bride who was set on having the garden rose “Green Eye” in her wedding. Unfortunately, it is no longer available due to low productivity, but Stephanie found a unique solution to give her bride what she wanted! She combined the garden rose “Patience” with a bit of green Dianthus, and violà, a DIY Green Eye garden rose.
Thanks for sharing Stephanie!
All types of dianthus – including carnations and green ball – have become a staple among floral designers. We just created a new product guide covering all of the details on these versatile wholesale flowers including some of the newer dianthus varieties that are now available.
If you missed last month’s video on carnations, be sure to check it out here.
What is your favorite dianthus?
I am excited to share with you a new product that one of our growers is working on. Check out the picture below to see their new star dianthus in cherry and pink. Their vase life will be similar to that of a mini carnation.
These spark shaped beauties are only being tested right now and we will have a extremely limited amount floating around Mayesh over the next 2 weeks. If all goes well, then the grower will green light for production. I think they are pretty cool, so I have my fingers crossed!
