Garden roses bring an old world charm, romantic warmth and Victorian elegance to social

gatherings and weddings. Even the simplest of designs will be transformed into floral masterpieces the moment you introduce them into your everyday palate.

Because garden rose bunches comprise varying stages of development, each stem used in your designs will scream with natural beauty. Your roses will arrive to you in bunches of hand-selected stems that will represent the best of that day's crop.

Unlike hothouse grown roses that we are all familiar with, every bunch of garden roses is unique.

Garden roses often sell themselves. Simply place a couple of stems in a vase at the center of your event consultation table and offer a couple of stems to your event client at the start of your meeting. You will witness their sheer delight and amazement at the size, and of course the fragrance, as it completely encircles them.

Garden roses can be used everywhere, and in everything from bridal bouquets to chair backs and hair wreaths, cake tables and pew decorations. Every design can only be made better and more elegant by using this enthralling rose from Mayesh.

When purchasing garden roses, you should plan to receive them 2-3 days prior to the event and conditioned in the same manner as other roses. Because Garden roses are grown in sprays of blossom clustered stems, the bunches may appear to have fewer roses, but in fact there may actually be more blooms in a bunch of garden roses, which makes the value of these gems more apparent. Make sure to use fresh water conditioned with a quality floral food in clean vessels. Keep garden roses cool or refrigerated until you are ready to use them.

Garden roses are available in short to medium lengths, with a heavy thorn count. Handle and clean the stems with heavy-leather garden gloves to avoid damaging the bark of the stem, and likewise your hands. Opening garden roses for events can be done in a few hours at room temperature. When the water in the vessel has reached room temperature after being removed from cool storage, the blooms will begin to unfurl.

Garden roses can be used outdoors as well. They are incredible in gazebo and arbor work. Use these gorgeous blossoms quickly, and avoid over-handling them. Keep stems in water as much as possible and avoid excessive heat. This flower is a very durable and lasting bloom. The most important thing to remember: use the garden rose before it has over-blossomed, and this fabulous gift of mother nature will give your event business a whole new and fresh look.

Happy designing,
