Description: The seed pods of Oriental Poppies, Papaver orientale x P. bracteatus, make strong sculptural statements in floral compositions. They are hardy and long-lasting. Originally from Turkey and Northern Iran they have now been cultivated throughout the world for their decorative elements in gardens. As a fresh cut flower they have a narrow appeal as they do not ship well unless transported to market in water, but the pods are extremely useful for the contemporary designer.
Care and Handling:
The pod and stem should be firm to the touch. Cut and hold in standard floral solution in cooler.
