While at 2012 The Special Event, Bill Schaffer of Schaffer Designs, a freelance floral design team, explains his experience with Mayesh Wholesale Florist's "Destination Events" services. Early Sunday morning I will be boarding a Vegas bound plane heading to the Event Solutions Idea Factory (ESIF) event!  Like the last event I attended, The Special Event (TSE), I will be squeezing in as many seminars as possible that I will use for future blog posts, and our team will be running around capturing videos and pictures to share with you.  Now that I have my feet wet with this whole show thing, I feel more organized and confident.  I hope that you have been enjoying all my TSE recaps and I can’t wait to share with you all that I see at ESIF!

During The Special Event 2012, Smither Oasis gave us a tour of their booth and some of their new products - giant spheres and garden stakes (round and rectangular).  Plus we received an inside scoop on their upcoming floating wreath forms that will come in 3 different sizes - look for those this Spring!

I decided to mix it up a bit and take a session at the 2012 Special Event show that didn’t have anything to do with flowers and more with what I do for Mayesh Wholesale Florist – marketing!  The session was called “Top 5 Marketing Design Secrets That Help Get You Noticed” and was given by Laura Cave, the Director of Partner Promotions at theknot.com.  

I wasn’t sure if I would learn anything new and in the beginning, it wasn’t looking too promising, but in the end I did learn a few new things and was reminded of some knowledge that I already knew, but haven’t thought about in a while … so for me, it is a win!

I’m not really sure where the “top 5” part of the session title came from because I didn’t detect a top 5 per se so instead of trying to figure it out I've outlined what we reviewed:
